Why Should You Have a Life Coach?

Have you noticed that people seem to gravitate toward the athletic arena when talking about personal development?

It's very common to hear comparisons between training for some physically competitive game and challenges or goals in someone's personal life.

These comparisons are used to motivate us to try harder, plan better, think faster, improve our "game", etc.

While it's true that the discipline of committed athletes is an appropriate analogy for self-improvement, most of us are not striving for that level of personal improvement.

We wish we had the time to do so, but life takes charge of our days, weeks, and months until we look at ourselves in the mirror and realize what sad shape we're in.

We are then determined to make a change and get ourselves back into shape, but the reality of our lives has not changed.

We eventually wind up where we started, incapable of making any lasting or effective course corrections.

At that point, many of us give up in discouragement.

Losing Confidence and Hope?

While you may not be concerned about getting into shape physically (though that is a very good goal to have) have you looked at other aspects of your life and seen supposedly insurmountable obstacles that are blocking your path to success?

Have you tried tackling those obstacles, only to discover you don't have the right tools or map to get past them?

This scenario can lead to some pretty devastating results. You start losing confidence in your ability to achieve your goals. This can end up leading to discouragement, compromise, and worse.

Hope is being slowly (sometimes quickly) squeezed out of the hearts of millions, and many give up altogether.

Some, unfortunately, even give up on life itself.

Good Tools, But No Lasting Results

The stress levels of many people today are so great that their physical, mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual health is crumbling.

They can't seem to stop it.

They've read numerous self-help books, taken relaxation training, and gone on spiritual retreats only to realize the information and techniques they've learned aren't sustainable. Eventually, they stop believing that there is anything that can help them.

The answers people are chasing can often be found in the mirror. Their own thought life is the key to opening the doorway to personal development.

Because of Life experiences and choices made by themselves and others, they have developed patterns of thinking that limit or inhibit their ability to move forward in life.

They can't find the answers to questions in their life. Sometimes they don't even know what those questions are.

Those who go to counselors might find answers, but that doesn't guarantee that they find how to permanently implement those answers.

All too often they come away with more good knowledge while still missing the tools needed to apply it.

The reason for that is they didn't come up with the answers themselves or participate in finding them, so they have no personal ownership of the solution. On some level, we begin to reject and/or sabotage what we aren't a part of.

Life Coaching: You’ve Been the Solution All Along

Coaching solves these dilemmas by helping you discover questions and their answers for yourself.

It also acts as a means of helping and encouraging you during personal development while allowing you to set your own course and come up with your own strategies.

If you ever get stuck, the coach is there to help you come up with your own plan to get yourself unstuck.

Personal development is essential for attaining your personal best in any situation.

You need a plan, and coaching is one of the best plans you can go for. It'll take effort, but together we can help you find a way around those obstacles.

As a certified elite life coach, I'm 100% committed to helping you escape to the place you long to be.
